Writing 5: an article: living with a disability

My name’s Mariona and I’m fifteen years old. I’ve been disabled for five years, since I had a car accident. I’ve been on a wheel chair since then. Now I’m studying 4th ESO. I try to do my things as normal as possible.
My life has changed a litte bit because with the wheel chair it’s too difficult to do things. For example I can’t do P.E. and I have to go swimming twice a week with a special teacher. I can’t move my legs but fortunately my arms are really developed. A special thing about this situation is that constantly a person who lives near me has to help me with a lot of activities. I need the wheel chair to move and a special chair in the bath. I also need a nurse who helps me with the rehabilitation.
A thing that annoys me a lot is that most of the public areas aren’t prepared for the different disabilities. Asking other people to help me is another thing that annoys me too. Most of my friends always support me and the other people who I don’t know sometimes are friendly and sometimes are bored with me. Life with this disability isn’t easy but I was lucky to survive.
